At the core of TeleStaff is communication
TeleStaff is designed for communication, and it is this core functionality that makes it unique and different from other solutions. Whether by telephone, pager, e-mail, Internet or client PC, TeleStaff is designed to provide staffing information to those that need it. These features are not just added on - they are a fundamental design consideration and are tightly integrated throughout TeleStaff.
Why is this important for you?
Because communication by itself is only part of the problem. Communications in public safety scheduling are endless, and in order to communicate with your workforce to offer work assignments, notify of assignment changes, deploy extra-duty detail, notify of certification expirations, and more, TeleStaff must first automatically identify the 'correct' employees to contact. And the definition of 'correct' is unique to every organization and is what makes automation challenging and complex.
Other scheduling solutions may use seniority or other basic rules, but TeleStaff's capabilities allow limitless rules creation designed to identify the correct employee(s) for any situation. Combined with sophisticated auditing and tracking tools, you will know who received the message using what communication method and how they responded. No more arguments about whether the correct employee was notified; TeleStaff will provide you an audit trail of its activities.
TeleStaff incorporates proprietary communication technology and best-of-breed commercial hardware components to provide inbound access and outbound notification to TeleStaff users. Employees may access TeleStaff via a client PC, the Internet and touch-tone phone to (based on system authority) make and approve requests, review messages, notifications and work schedule, and change personal information. Similarly, TeleStaff will use e-mail, fax, telephone, pager, web browser and network PC to communicate critical information to your employees, such as requests for work and notification of important messages.
Features and benefits
Send and receive communications using multiple methods: Schedule-driven and emergency notifications can be sent, and inbound access to system can be obtained, by telephone, cell, pager, e-mail, Internet and client PC.
Make the correct contact based on the situation: Based on your rules and scheduling needs, TeleStaff will identify the right staff members and send work communications. The sophisticated TeleStaff rules engine enables each organization to create rules for virtually every situation, ensuring that the correct candidates are identified for every situation.
Track and record every communication: Offers an audit trail of all activities.
Create messages on the fly: Instantly updates employees about work assignment changes, expiring certification or other time-critical activities, or any general information.
Make time-sensitive decisions: Depending on the urgency of the need, TeleStaff will automatically adhere to your organization's rules without intervention. For example, a roster vacancy days in the future may require that several attempts be made to reach each staff member over a specified amount of time and a defined period to consider the request before contacting the next candidate, whereas the same type of vacancy on today's roster may follow a different set of rules and require a 'scorch the earth' method of quickly finding the first qualified candidate.
Recall staff in an emergency: Pre-define or create on the fly groups of employees and/or qualifications to be recalled in the event of emergency and TeleStaff will use its outbound capabilities via the appropriate communication method to notify staff members. Automatic date/time stamping enables command staff to quickly identify which employees have received the alert.
TeleStaff is the most efficient way to schedule and communicate to your workforce while delivering the bottom line results you need.
